Our team is currently developing sites in the UK, France and the Middle East, which are at various stages of planning and delivery.

A growing enterprise

Shockingly Fresh is developing CEA projects in the UK, France and the Middle East with projects at various stages:

  • 1 hectare operational

  • 23 hectares construction ready

  • 20 hectares in advanced stages of planning with determination expected summer 2022

  • Over 60 hectares in earlier stage of development and planning


Offenham

Our project at Offenham was completed in summer 2021 and is the first commercial site developed by Shockingly Fresh. At approximately 1 hectare in size, it showcases the system at scale, although it is 1/10th to 1/20th the size of our future sites.

Offenham is operated by the highly regarded grower Valefresco to commercially supply crop with the added environmental, seasonality, hygiene and economic benefits that vertical farming brings, and are exceeding targets in terms of head weight and system performance.

Three Oaks

Shockingly Fresh Limited has been granted planning permission for the Three Oaks site. The site is located on the Courteenhall Estate, next to the M1.  

This site has 10 hectares of greenhouse based around the Saturn Bioponic system, as showcased at our Offenham site. Construction is expected to start in summer 2023. 

Longford Farm

Shockingly Fresh Limited has been granted permission for a 13-hectare greenhouse site on Longford Farm, near Livingston, Scotland.

This site, as a subsequent phase of the development pipeline, will facilitate expansion of the spectrum of crops available using CEA systems.

Shockingly Fresh has a considerable pipeline of development sites that will ensure our capacity to scale production to respond to the ever-increasing demand for sustainable CEA solutions. Our development portfolio includes:
