Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Shockingly Fresh is committed to ensuring our practices combat slavery and human trafficking.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and establishes our modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 April 2023. 

OUR MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking internally as any part of our business or within our supply chains. As part of this commitment, we require all our suppliers to provide us with their Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Polices and we will carry out audits as required to ensure compliance.

Given the obligation to report on measures to ensure that all parts of our business and supply chain are slavery free, we have put in place this Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy. 

Our Modern Slavery Policy demonstrates our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains.

OUR SUPPLIERS

Minimising water Shockingly Fresh’s suppliers are mostly based within the UK which has a developed culture of ethical business practice and strong labour regulation. The company has therefore assessed the overall risk of contracting organisations that engage in slavery or human trafficking as relatively low. However, we have recognised that a risk in our supply chain exists where contracts with technology suppliers and/or other third-party suppliers are based abroad. Shockingly Fresh has zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking.

If we find that other individuals or organisations working on our behalf have breached this policy, we will ensure that we take appropriate action.

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have in place systems to:

• Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.

• Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.

• Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.

• Protect whistleblowers.

This policy shall be reviewed and updated as required on an annual basis.
